ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Melissa Simpson
WHERE I COME FROM
I grew up in a military family and called Presque Isle Home for most of my childhood. I moved to southern Maine almost 20 years ago and have been a resident of Sanford for the last 10 years, since moving here, community service in Sanford. My journey began as a member of the McWillard PTA starting back before our schools transitioned into what we have today. After my children moved on to the middle school I decided to join the school committee. I have served as an elected official of the school committee for 4 years, advocating for our youth while respecting our population and considering the many needs we have in our community . My years of involvement in various local initiatives has fueled my passion for making a difference in our community to ensure a brighter future for all.

Throughout my career, I have been actively engaged in numerous community projects aimed at enhancing the lives of our residents. I believe in the power of grassroots movements and the importance of listening to the voices of the people.
